Healing Hands, Guarding Hearts: TNI Brings Relief to Kibogolome Village

Puncak - In the remote landscapes of Papua Tengah, where challenges run deep and resources are scarce, the Raider Infantry Battalion 323/Buaya Putih Kostrad is rewriting the narrative of military service. On Saturday, November 16, 2024, in Kibogolome Village, Ilaga District, these elite soldiers showcased their dedication not only as protectors but also as compassionate healers.

During a routine patrol, the Eromaga Post team, led by First Lieutenant Yusup, encountered local residents grappling with prolonged illnesses. Without hesitation, the team’s medical personnel stepped in, transforming the patrol into a mobile clinic. Equipped with expertise and empathy, they provided immediate treatment, distributed free medicines and vitamins, and offered a glimmer of hope to a community in need.

One of the villagers, Marta Tabuni, shared her heartfelt appreciation: “Thank you, Commander 323. I am happy that the TNI is always helping the people. God bless.” Her words resonate as a testament to the far-reaching impact of the 323 Task Forces’ humanitarian efforts.

Lieutenant Colonel Tri Wiratno, Commander of the 323 Task Forces, emphasized the importance of addressing the fundamental needs of the community. “Our mission is not just about maintaining security—it’s about ensuring that the people feel supported and cared for, especially in critical areas like health, ” he said.

The initiative also garnered recognition from Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, Commander of HABEMA Operations, who lauded the team’s dedication. “This effort exemplifies TNI’s unwavering commitment to improving the lives of Papua’s residents. It reflects our belief that security and development go hand in hand, ” he stated.

Through their actions in Kibogolome, the 323 Task Forces have proven that the strength of a nation’s military lies not only in its defense capabilities but also in its compassion. By combining security with humanitarian outreach, they are building a bridge of trust and hope, ensuring that no one is left behind in Papua’s journey toward progress.
