The Habema Soldiers And The Eronggobak Commnity United In A Joint Thanks Giving Service At The Eromaga Post

PUNCAK - Task Forces of the Raider Infantry Battalion 323/Buaya Putih Kostrad, one of the military units under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command (KOOPS) HABEMA in Papua, is currently conducting mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in the Puncak Regency area, Papua Tengah Province. On Wednesday, 14 August 2024, the 323 Task Forces, especially the Eromaga Post led by First Lieutenant Yusup, held a Thanksgiving Service with the Eronggobak Village, Omukia District community. This service was held to commemorate the birthday of a Community Figure from the village, Mr. Simon Telenggen.

The Commander of 323 Task Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Tri Wiratno, has emphasized to the Soldiers that Social Communication (Komsos) activities with the community in the assigned area are necessary to support the smooth implementation of the main task of securing the area. Therefore, since the assignment began in early 2024, 1LT Yusup has often conducted Komsos with Religious and Community Figures in the Village. Through the Komsos, it was discovered that Mr. Simon's 50th Birthday was on August 14, 2024.

Through the effective Komsos, the Thanksgiving Service could be held on Wednesday at the Eromaga Post. While still prioritizing security factors, the Soldiers planned and prepared a series of Thanksgiving Services. After the residents gathered at the prepared location, the Service was carried out solemnly. After completing the entire series of activities, Mr. Simon expressed his happiness and gratitude, saying, "Thank you, Commander 323. I am happy that my birthday was celebrated at the Post. God bless." This positive feedback from Mr. Simon underscores the success of the Thanksgiving service.

"The initiative of the 323 Task Forces to conduct creative Komsos with the residents of Eronggobak Village is an implementation of the TNI's duties in inclusive Social Communication with all parties to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region, " said the HABEMA Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, upon receiving the program report.
