TNI Task Forces Showed Their Care By Distibuting New Footwear And Clothes To Bilogai Residents

INTAN JAYA - The Task Forces of the Raider Infantry Battalion 509/Balawara Yudha Kostrad, is part of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command (KOOPS TNI) in Papua, which currently conducting mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in the Intan Jaya Regency area, Papua Tengah Province. On Friday, 26 July 2024, the 509 Task Forces, especially the Bilogai Post led by First Lieutenant Abdian Mardani, cared for the people who passed in front of the Post.

In his emphasis on the TNI Soldiers, the Commander of 509 Task Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Dian Dessiawan Setyadi, conveyed the importance of the Task Forces' attention to the basic necessities of the community around the Post. Based on that emphasis, the Soldiers showed their attention and care for the people passing in front of the Post. At that time, several people were seen traveling long distances without footwear and wearing clothes unsuitable for use.

In response to the situation, the Soldiers took the initiative to distribute free footwear to them. Not only footwear, the Soldiers also gave new clothes for free to the residents who were wearing unsuitable clothes. Hoping the residents would have a more comfortable and safer journey, the Soldiers also advised them to be careful and alert during the trip. In addition, the Soldiers also used the opportunity to interact and communicate to observe developments in the local situation. The residents who received the new footwear and clothes welcomed the Soldiers' care. One of them, Mama Ribka Sondegau, expressed her impressions, "Praise God, Thank you Commander 509 for the free footwear and clothes. God bless."

"The initiative of the 509 Task Forces to provide new footwear and clothes to residents of Bilogai Village is the TNI's concern to provide services for the basic necessities of the community to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region, " said the KOOPS TNI Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, upon receiving the program report.
