PUNCAK - In a heartwarming gesture of care and solidarity, the Task Forces of Raider Infantry Battalion 323/Buaya Putih Kostrad, under the command of Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA, carried out a meaningful initiative in Puncak Regency, Papua Tengah Province. On Thursday, 26 December 2024, during a routine patrol, Soldiers from the Beoga Post, led by First Lieutenant Ari Surahman, distributed free clothes to children in Ambobera Village, Beoga District.
The distribution was part of a broader effort to strengthen ties with the local community while ensuring the area’s security. Lieutenant Colonel Tri Wiratno, Commander of the 323 Task Forces, emphasized the importance of turning routine assignments into opportunities for positive impact. “Every patrol is more than a security measure it’s a chance to connect, uplift, and show that the TNI cares deeply for the people we serve, ” he stated.
A Day of Joy for Ambobera’s Children
The Soldiers’ gesture brought immense joy to the children and their families. Smiles lit up the faces of the young ones as they received new clothes, a token of kindness that resonated deeply. Maria Otimuka, a local mother, expressed her heartfelt appreciation: “Thank you for the free clothes for our children, Commander 323. God bless.”
Beyond material support, the Soldiers’ warm interactions and genuine concern created a lasting impression, fostering a spirit of trust and cooperation in the village.

Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, Commanding General of HABEMA, commended the initiative, highlighting its alignment with the Indonesian Government’s goal to accelerate development in Papua. “The 323 Task Forces’ actions embody the essence of inclusive social communication and reinforce the TNI’s commitment to Papua’s progress and unity, ” he remarked.
